Flax Art Studios began a Graduate Artist Programme in 1990 awarding a free studio space to one selected artist on completion of the MFA each year for one year.
In 2018 Flax Art Studios moved to Havelock House (the former UTV Television Studios) and the additional space meant that we could expand this programme and our commitment to supporting graduate artists and retaining emerging artists at this fragile point in their career.
In February 2019 we launched the Emerging Artist Hub for artists at the early stages of their career and whom demonstrate a passion for contemporary Visual Fine Art. We opened the programme for up to 10 artists offering a communal studio space, use of the workshop area, and mentoring support.
